What is the difference between Claude and ChatGPT?
Claude is made by Anthropic and ChatGPT by OpenAI. Both are general AI assistants that write, analyze, explain and help with code, and both change often, so most comparisons go stale quickly.
Differences people often notice are style, how each handles long documents, and which extra features each app offers, such as projects, custom assistants, voice, image tools or connected apps. These vary by plan and over time.
The best way to compare is a hands-on test: give both the same three real tasks and see which needs less editing. Also compare privacy terms, usage limits and pricing on each vendor's current pages. Many people keep both and choose per task.
