Should I use Perplexity or Google for looking things up?
Use Perplexity when you want a quick written overview with sources on a topic, and use a traditional search engine when you want to browse many pages, find a specific site or see raw results.

Why does Perplexity cite a source that does not actually say what it claims?
Perplexity searches the web and attaches numbered citations, but a citation shows where it looked, not proof that the page supports every claim.
